Trex IPTV Free Trial: How to Get the Most From Your Test
A short trial goes quickly. This checklist shows what to test, at what time of day, and how to judge the results fairly.

A free trial is the most useful thing a TV service can offer, but only if you use it well. Too many people sign in, flick through a few channels on a quiet afternoon, and decide based on almost nothing. This guide is a practical checklist for your Trex IPTV free trial: what to test, when to test it, and how to judge what you see fairly.
Before the trial starts
A little preparation means you spend the trial watching rather than troubleshooting.
- Pick your main device. Decide which screen matters most: the living-room TV, a Fire TV Stick, a phone. Test that one first.
- Install the player app in advance. Ask us which app suits your device, install it and open it once, so it is ready when your login arrives.
- Check your connection where you watch. Run a speed test on the device itself, or on a phone held next to it. As a guide, aim for a steady 10 Mbps for Full HD and 25 Mbps for 4K.
- Set the time zone. Make sure the device’s date, time and time zone are correct, or the TV guide will look wrong.
- Choose your timing. Request the trial when you have an evening free to watch, not on your busiest day of the week.
How to request the trial
Tap any “Start Free Trial” button on our site. WhatsApp opens with a message already written, including your region, for example the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia or Germany. Add the device you will watch on and send it. We reply in the same chat with your trial login and setup steps. No payment details are needed, and we confirm the trial length when we send it.
The checklist: what to test
Work through this list in order. Each step tests something different.
1. The channels you watch every week
Start with your everyday viewing: the news you put on in the morning, the entertainment channels you watch in the evening. Leave each one running for a few minutes rather than flicking straight past. You are checking the picture is steady, the sound is in sync and the channel loads quickly.
2. The TV guide
Open the TV guide (EPG) and check the times against the clock on your wall. If listings are an hour or more out, the device’s time zone is almost always the cause. Our guide to EPG and catch-up across time zones explains how to fix it.
3. Catch-up
Find a channel that supports catch-up, scroll back in the guide and play something that aired earlier in the day. This is a feature many people end up using every day, so make sure it works the way you expect.
4. The on-demand library
Search for a film or series you want to watch, start it, pause it, skip forward and resume. Check the search is easy to use with your remote.
5. Live sport or motorsport
Fast movement is the hardest test for any internet connection. Watch some live sport or motorsport, ideally a busy match or a race, and see whether the picture holds up.
6. Every screen you plan to use
If you want to watch in two rooms, test both. A bedroom TV far from the router may behave differently from the one in the lounge.
7. Your household at its busiest
If others in your home stream, game or work online in the evening, test while they are doing it. That is the real-world condition your plan will face.
When to test: why the evening matters
Internet traffic in your street peaks in the evening, when everyone is streaming at once. A trial that only runs on a weekday morning tells you very little about Saturday night. Try to watch at least once during your usual prime time, and once during a live event if one is on. If the picture is smooth then, it will be smooth the rest of the time.
How to judge what you see
It is easy to blame the service for problems that start in your home. Before drawing conclusions:
- If every channel buffers, the cause is usually your Wi-Fi or router. Try a cable, the 5 GHz band or moving closer to the router. Our buffering guide walks through it.
- If only one channel has a problem, tell us the channel and the time. It may be a temporary issue with that channel.
- If the guide is empty or wrong, check the device’s time zone and refresh the guide.
- If an app crashes, clear its cache or restart the device before judging it.
Write down anything odd as you go, with the time. It makes it much quicker for us to help.
Use the chat while you test
You have a real person at the other end of the WhatsApp chat throughout your trial. Use them:
- Ask which player app suits your device best, if the first one does not feel right.
- Ask about specific channels or categories, since availability may vary.
- Ask how a second screen would work if you plan to watch in more than one room.
- Ask about payment options, so there are no surprises when you order.
Tips by device
| Device | What to check during the trial |
|---|---|
| Fire TV Stick | Power from a wall socket, Wi-Fi strength, resolution set to Auto |
| Smart TV | App available in the TV’s store, picture mode set to Movie or Standard |
| Android TV box | Ethernet connected, display resolution matched to the TV |
| Phone or tablet | Playback on Wi-Fi and on mobile data, background playback |
| Computer | Cable connection for long sessions, power-saving mode off |
After the trial
When your trial ends, it simply stops. There is nothing to cancel. If you liked what you saw, message us in the same chat to order 3 Months for $35 ($11.67 a month), 6 Months for $50 ($8.33 a month) or 12 Months for $69.99 ($5.83 a month). If it was not for you, you do not need to do anything.
If you are undecided, tell us what bothered you. Often it is a setting or a Wi-Fi issue we can fix in minutes, and it is better to know that before deciding.
Free trial tips: quick questions
Do I need to give card details for the trial?
No. The Trex IPTV free trial is free and no payment details are needed.
What is the single most important test?
Watch live sport or motorsport during your usual evening viewing time. If that is smooth, almost everything else will be.
The guide shows the wrong times. Is the trial broken?
Almost certainly not. Check the date, time and time zone on your device, then refresh the guide.
Can I extend my trial?
We confirm the trial length when we send it. If something got in the way of testing, tell us in the chat.
